Hey

So, heres the plan.

My mum and da for christmas got me to the iPhone 5, and it was amazing of them to do that! this was an upgrade form my previous phone, the 3GS.

However, its not that i a hater for apple- ivery much like thier products, its just i feel the allure to android in terms of UI to take me, since ios is literally the same every update, and will likely remaain that way, simply adding more stupid shit i dont use (Passbook)

So anyway, my iPhone 5 is on contract, and i wanted to switch the headset, but i heard u cant until your contract (24months) is over. But, a couple of my friends say that you can purchase a handset from the same company, put the sim card in it and it will still operate. (BTW, im on 02)

So what i had wanted to do was sell my iPhone 5, with all its accessories coming to about a resonable 400 pounds, maybe more. Then, put a lil money in myself to buy the handset. Sounds good to me, but questions i have such as

-will i pay the same monthly tariff?
-Will the sim card work? i think i'd need to buy a new card, and convert it,since it is a tiny som card, will o2 mind this?but would i really need to?
-I heard that contracts are similar to 'borrowing' the phone, in that u can change the handset, at the expense of voided warranty. Is this true?

And btw, the android i really want is the Sony Xperia Z. To me, it has future-proof specs for at least 2 years, and is a change from ios and and the iPhone, which i have used extensively for ages, even resulting in me jailbreaking, though i removed it.

What do u guys think of this plan? thanks!
