I could not un-scramble that. I'm not a grammar nazi, but I like posts to actually make sense.

@OP
I believe in science because there is proof and understandable explanation of how things happen.

I know that nothing is real, and that 'real' is only defined through what I can and do perceive.
So believing in something contradicts itself in those terms, because believing in something is believing in nothing.

However, if we take that away and look what what I perceive as real, I believe what I believe through observations or what other, credible people have observed.

I really don't want to be that guy, but I can't let this slide.

The proof scales are tipped extremely in the direction of science... it is checked and checked and checked and time and time again turns out true. Theories, Laws, etc. all came from science, not catholicism. Saying "science has no proof (just my opinion)" is like saying "the sky is green (just my opinion)"

Sorry to be harsh, but you're just wrong.

You obviously know nothing about Catholicism nor science. Theories are just hypotheses that are supported by many people. Laws have nothing to do with religion (they sort of do because God created them). And you never know, scientists can be wrong, think they are right, and say to everyone that they are right; while they are actually wrong.

Sorry to jump in, but Science has worked out a whole lot more than Catholicism, before science came along, the world was flat, it was the center of the Universe and cutting people open and letting them bleed out cured diseases.
Science has done quite a lot more for the human race than Religion in terms of advancement, however, in terms of self thought and philosophy.
I think that Catholicism has probably improved those areas a lot from their origins back in Ancient Greece.
Catholicism is based solely on Faith, which should be enough for those who choose to follow it.

Science does get it wrong sometimes, only an idiot would suggest otherwise, but Science will always admit that it is wrong and try again.

I'm not going to argue if you won't even bother trying to learn about my side. What you just said is something that comes out of 8 year olds mouths... theories are not guesses. Try again.
