Well today I got a old desktop computer! It's running on windows xp and ATM we can't get it to connect to my router! But I have a family laptop that has Internet acces and I was wondering if I could download like jtag tool and etc on the laptop. Use a USB to transfer that programs to my computer from my laptop and use the programs to RGH and stuff without Internet! Or would this not work and I need Internet to use Jtag tool and such!

If you can help me post and if you do I will rep you or whoever helped me!

Usually if you bought the computer new/restored there is software on it that needs to be updated given the fact that it is still at the versions from when the computer was produced. I would recommend updating Windows XP as well as any anti-virus and other software and then trying again, if not, I would just buy Windows 7.

It was giving to me from my gpa. When I turned it on it had a bunch of updates and back up stuff! I wanted to see if the laptop came with the vista cd but it came with vista on the laptop. So should I buy a vista cd for $20 or windows 7 for like $100?
