Introduction
Hi guys. Thought I would introduce to you a couple of innovative screen-capturing applications which can be used to capture selected areas of your computer page. Many of you may have heard of [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] , which is a popular screen-grabbing tool available for Windows, Mac and Linux. I, however, wouldn't recommend using this screen-capturing application; it's got a lot of cons.

What is a screen capturing tool, and what does it do?
Pretty obvious. A 'screen' capturing tool is used for selecting a certain area of your computer screen in order to reupload it for your own personal view, or in order to share with other people. Many of these applications require you to download (..and install) them before they can be used. Afterwards, you click on the application and you may highlight/select the area which you wish to capture.

Reliable screen-capturing tools:

I personally use the [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] . This extension is for Google Chrome, and it allows you to capture your page view, area, or the entire page. There's an addon for Mozilla Firefox and more!

If you have any questions, or would like to suggest another screen-grabbing tool for me to add to this thread; post below!

I have gyazo I find it the easiest to use expesically when you don't want to upload your image to a sit like photobucket etc. I've had bad experiences with fraps, not a fan of it!

Thanks for all of your responses. I have updated the thread with some more reliable screen-grabbing tools, and I'll be adding a tutorial on how to capture your screen.
