To get your permit you just take a short test. Some questions are weird like how old do u have to be to ride in the back of a pick up truck (16) or does someone in the back seat have to wear a seat belt if they are 18 (no) what is the depth of the tred of a tire (1/16in) or how fast can you drive in a ally way (5mph) take ur time.

Review over the driver's manual or what ever it is called where you live. That's what I did before I took my test and I passed on my first try. Good luck.

oh yea if you do the driving corse you do have to pass the parallel parking, if not you will fail.
