I use this to my advantage.
In the graphics services, i've found that it tends to people who claim they're professional when really, they're beginners

Please don't talk if you dont know what your talking about, us designers use these words for slang. It is more then proper to use just like you calling people kids. Designers have these words so that we can communicate easier so don't complain.

Peinful wrote If you didn't start in 2009 you wouldn't understand it's honestly really annoying when you get messages from people who just started asking for some "GFX" honestly make me want to jump out of a window because there to lazy to type "Graphics" & that is genuinely all it is.
I do this for a personal living! i have a job as a graphics designer in the UK along with designing websites for small companies so ask you can see its annoying that 13 year old kids say "GFX".

Says start is 2009, has his account created in 2013... Sure....

You just made my night. +1 to you good sir.
OT: When I used to actually do graphics 2/3 years ago, I called it gfx because it was quicker to type and it meant the word 'graphics'.

Honestly, I don't care what one anyone says, either way I know what they are talking about.

It's just a shorter way of saying "Graphics". Trust me it's very annoying but everyone used it at some point, People will hopefully eventually stop it, But good point.

GFX= Graphics

GFX is simply a shortened way of saying graphics, and they can be used interchangably. It's like saying CNN instead of Cable News Network, or KFC instead of Kentucky Fried Chicken, or txt instead of text, or the US instead of the United States of America.

Yes it does matter to me a lot of other designers
No, as a designer I don't get bothered by this, and neither should you be. GFX == Graphics, get over it.
