It used to be just a secret group of philosophers. Now apparently it's a group of high ranking officials and rich people that rule the world. People also like to assume a lot of very popular music artists are apart of it. If you want to see something that is just as weird but basically confirmed to be real, search up the Bohemian Grove. High ranking officials and rich people meet together in California for about a weekend. They also do plays and rituals around a giant owl statue. Someone actually infiltrated it and got video. Pretty interesting.

I believe they exist and it is all true, They just dont do anything big yet, cause everyone is still like "ZOMG THE ILLUMINATIO, OMG JAY-Z'S BABY "Blue ivy" Not gunna lie when you look at the meaning of the name it's quite scary.

Yup, the place they meet at is "Bohemian Grove" . Great grandpa was a pretty wealthy slave trader, he was a freemason, if that has anything to do with the illuminati.

The Illuminati was a secret group around the 1700's. It was a movement I guess you could say, but there are conspiracies that they still exist and control everything in the world. I saw a thread on here around December that claimed that since a lot of people started getting sick, the Illuminati started to release a virus in the air...

It's your job to decide for yourself, but it's mostly people who are paranoid in some aspect who believe in this, it's not rational for this to be possible at such a large scale.

I know they exist, at a much smaller level. My neighbor was part of a secret society close with them, they simply passed down knowledge. He was pretty insane, but he moved onto their "campus" and I helped him.
