I recently updated minecraft 1.5, after re installing my same texture pack my FPS drops to the area of 8 - 11. I was able to run minecraft at around 80 FPS before the update, with the same texture pack...

Is there some new graphic option that I'm missing? I really hope that's the case and my GPU isn't starting to fail.

I havent seen any framerate drop in this update. Have you tried a different texture pack? That could be the problem, or narrow down the search.

Is the texture pack updated?

Do you have smooth lighting on? They updated the lighting system.
