Hello, if this is the wrong forum please let me know and I will move it to the appropriate one

My computer consists of.
Amd 64 x2 II 220 Dual-core CPU. (soon to be Intel I5 Quad)
Evga Gts 450. Graphics card.
The mother board comes with 1 VGA slot. The Card comes with 2 DVI and 1 Mini HDMI slot.

Now that the basic specs are over, my question is.

I have a Dvi-Vga adapter for my monitor, because I do not have a Dvi cord.
My Acer 27" monitor is my main screen.
I am trying to get my ~48" Toshiba tv to connect Via the VGA slot on my mainboard.

The Tv refuses to accept any signal from my computer, but my computer recognizes that there is another signal being sent. Will my TV not connect because I am using my Mainboards VGA slot? Do I need to Get another DVI-Vga adapter for it?

If this is confusing dont worry, I am confused as well.

A simple version of the question -

Do i need to connect my tv to my Graphics card to dual screen?

If more information is needed please let me know.
Thank-you very much

Yes. I was in a similar situation, your GPU cancels out you integrated graphics on your motherboard. Hope this helped

No problem! There's also DVI to VGA adapters or visa versa without loss of quality, I use them and would highly recommend them as a cheap alternative!
