Perhaps instead of obsessing over something so menial and pointless, insightful, relevant and worthwhile discussions could be had instead, or maybe that's too much to ask.

The site isn't about badges, yet it's all you guys seem to care about. They are there to add incentive for you guys to do good things and make good contributions.

Maybe if the site was devoid of ranks and badges, we could actually have a mature and worthwhile discussion.
