Yes, it will work. Most modern graphic cards like this one require a PCI-E x16 slot which your motherboard has. What do you plan to do with this card though? It is a bit obsolete and not very powerful. The only thing it has going for it is the 2 GB of VRAM which isn't even GDDR5, it's DDR3.

It depends on your budget and what you want to use the card for. (Rendering, mid-line gaming, or hardcore gaming.) Let me know what you are willing to spend and what applications/games you intend you use and I will recommend what I think the best card is that fits your needs and budget.

To be honest, it's a little challenging to find a card capable of mid range gaming on that budget. For entry level games, I would recommend at least a 640 or 650. On Newegg, they sell an EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 650, considerably more powerful than that 610. It is a bit higher than your budget. If you are able to spend an additional $50.00, I would highly recommend purchasing this card. With this card, you will be able to play many middle of the line games with decent framerates. If you really can't leave your current budget, that ASUS 610 is probably the best card available. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

which will be just a few dollars over budget. This is a fairly good card for the money.

For that price, OP might as well go for a [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] which is by far better than a normal 650. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] are some benchmarks on a big selection of cards, which the 7770 beats the 650 in all of them. For your price range though, mid range gaming, have a look at the [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

The 6670 ddr3 isn't quite as fast as the gddr5 version, but those can be fairly pricey.

My advice is to save up some money and at least get a 7770 if not a 650ti for mid range.
