My friend wants a lightweight laptop that has the best specs you can get. Can anyone link me to a laptop that is at least 2000 dollars? He was willing to spend 3300 dollars on a macbook pro.

No no no never.
You're paying $1000 more for lights. It's the biggest waste of money possible.
Well, his friend wants to spend his money, and i'm spending it. I would never buy an alienware but he said it has to be over 2,000 and lets face it if you're buying a laptop over 2k its probably overpriced in some way..

Probably yes but take the amount it's overpriced by and multiply it by 2.
That's Alienware.

If he can afford it, he should get one of the Retina Macbooks. They're easily the best laptops on the market right now and anyone who doesn't think so expects to get a gaming machine that's also good as a laptop (lolno) or is biased.

What exactly is he looking for in it? Editing, gaming, school or what?
