So I went into a game as a gold 51, in a game filled with nothing but platinum and master or what ever they're called. We won and Now i'm Platinum Rank 3. I have 12 total wins and i'm currently on a 1 win streak.

You won against all higher teir players maybe, that makes the most sense to me.
