Ping is the time it takes for a packet to do a network round trip. I.e. go from your PC to the destination and back. That destination would be a server you are connecting to which would not be a satellite in the sky.

As you can see, the server is probably in a data centre in Gloucester. Not in the sky.

Your speed is pretty good for inside the UK.
