Hey guys when i has a capture card i used to render my clips with sony vegas, but some people do it in after effects,
so my question is
Which program is better After effects or Sony vegas?
also which is easier because im a comlete noob?

I use sony vegas , as i find it easy , but you can use any i would say

for syncing shots use vegas but for effects use after effects although after effects is hard to use for beginners

For cutting your clips it's so much easier to use Sony Vegas as it is user friendly where After Affects would take weeks or months to fully master all the controls.

If you wanted to edit I would use both programs. For syncing the shots to the sound of the beat in the song it would go to Sony Vegas. To add in affects to your shots it would have to be After Effects.

Again if you are new like you said "noob" I would first start editing with Sony Vegas because it's so much more easier to edit with and being so user friendly I would definitely recommend starting there and progressing.

yeah i know what u mean man thanks a lot but there not going to be my clips im going to use a raw clip from youtube or something that comes with a download so i can learn to edit, i mainly want to do effects, i was under the assumption it was done in vegas, oh well ill have a look, thanks for your time

Could somebody do me a favour and link me to a montage/oce which has been done in sony vegas and one thats been done in after effects ?

Sony vegas pro Is very simple to use and requires alot of time if you want an Over edit.

After effects is more advance but has better editing options in it. Recommended if you know what you are doing.
