I saw Life of Pi with my brother. Excellent movie. 5 minutes into the film, this very large family with a 4 year old child walked in and sat down. 10 minutes later, the child got up, and began running through the theatre making noises, and the parents just sat there. Finally, someone complained and the mother took the child out. Then, 5 minutes later, guess who walks back in? They sit down again and within another 5 minutes, the kid gets back up and starts running around again. My brother, who was then furious, got up and got the manager, who then told the family if they can't control their child they will have to leave. This then led to a loud argument, and the family finally left. Worst movie experience I've ever had.

Honestly though, what the hell is wrong with some people? A child of that age wouldn't even understand a movie, don't take them to one.

I also feel the same way if I go to a nicer reseteraunt, always a crying baby and the parents seem unnoticed that the child is going wild right next to them.

Similar thing happened to me last year. Went to see The Dark Knight Rises and about 20 minutes in some guy came in through the emergency exit really fired up.

Didn't end well.

The way you could have stopped this could have been flagging down an employee when you go to the restroom during the movie. I agree with you completely though.

But some of it has to do with parents not being able to control there kids. You should have told the manger after the movie and got a refund (That is kinda extreme) or at least tickets to another movie for free. Because in a way it is the Movies Theaters fault for letting under age kid in the movies in the first place. Or just got up and sat some where else.

I stopped going to the cinema to watch films after Sinister came out.
So many little kids getting in, God knows how, and screaming at everything, not to mention constant chatting and restlessness.

Why would parents take their children to see something like that?

I agree. I went to a theater in Tampa, there were like three kids my age being annoying. It pissed me off, I said something and the kid turned around all pissed off.
He saw me and shut up. That's why I love being my size, I just intimidate people. It never gets violent
