I have heard a lot of different things from a lot of different people/sources, but the majority of them have guessed / assumed that there WILL be a disk drive because the 720 is rumored to have a Blu-Ray disc player. I am not sure if that drive will be JUST for Blu-Rays but I am assuming it will be for games and movies or other discs.

The other thing I have heard is that Microsoft wanted the 720 to be all online-based, so you would have to buy and download games right onto your Xbox.. Mainly for copyright reasons.

they will probably have a disk drive so you can play your old 360 games
like the original ps3

The leaked document also confirms rumors indicating that while the Durango will have a Blu-ray drive, games cannot be played straight off the disc as it will have to be installed to hard drive first. The good news is apparently, gamers will be able to start playing the game as it starts the install process like Steam.
