Yes, this is all compatible and I'm unaware of a way to make this better with your demands and budget. The 965 and 7770 are a pretty well-balanced pair. What specific games are you planning on playing?

The Battelfield series, maybe the CoDs, Sims, Arma2-3, DayZ mod and others, other random PC games

Yes, this is all compatible and I'm unaware of a way to make this better with your demands and budget. The 965 and 7770 are a pretty well-balanced pair. What specific games are you planning on playing?

The Battelfield series, maybe the CoDs, Sims, Arma2-3, DayZ mod and others, other random PC games

It will not play all of the most demanding games like BF3 and 4, Crysis 3, FC3, and Arma 2 and 3 at max settings, but it will play them at good settings. For the new generation of games (using Crysis 3 as an example), about medium will be the sweet spot for the 7770.

In your position, I would save up just a bit more for the 7850, which is arguably the best card for the money right now. It overclocks exceptionally well.

That's not true. There's no set requirement for VRAM and 1GB is enough for the settings at which these cards will will run the game at 1080p.

That's referring to system memory, not video memory. The graphics card is like a smaller computer with its own power supply, CPU, motherboard, RAM, etc.

EDIT: Instead of downvoting, post with your thoughts. It's clear you feel a certain way.

That's the biggest problem I see with a PC building section, everyone who doesn't know what they're doing will be suggesting mediocre or outdated/faulty builds. I have a feeling the few people who are like expert PC wizard builders will just be looking over recommendations and correcting them.

Hopefully this won't be the case and the section will do good.
