Should work for 6.1 and yeah try putting it into DFU mode and turning it back on: Hold power 5 seconds: then while holding power hold the home button 15 seconds: then left go of power while holding home until it completely shuts off: then turn it back on.
SHOULD NOT DELETE ANYTHING JUST FIXES THE START! I HOPE DIDNT FOR ME
But to turn it back on to get out of dfu mode you need to hold the power and home button.

Ok well I tried this and all it did was make it that my phone's always in recovery mode. There's nothing else I can do but restore now . I'm actually really sad but thanks anyway

Jailbreak it first or boot it up using redsn0w. Jailbreak using Evasion.
