Can anyone tell me why you need to change your wan ip when going online with RGH/Jtag?
And what is your Wan IP, is it basically your ip address? Can anyone provide a tutorial on how do this, and one last question how does this affect your retail, computer and whole internet?
- Thanks really appreciate it!

WAN IP = Wide Area Network IP.
If you would like to PM me your skype or AIM, I'd be happy to teach you how, I just need to know which type of modem/router you own, as it affects it. Drop me a PM bro, i'll help you out, we don't want you getting console banned when it can be prevented in seconds!
-Peace

Simply because your in your network area and since Jtags are not permitted to go online they will ban your Jtag and your main retail console.

plug ethernet from pc to the back of the modem open up command prompt run ipconfig /release and then ipconfig /renew
you can also log into your into your modem as you would a router and with its UI run release and renew directly
or if you are a wire warrior
cable based ISP + jtag modem + haxoware firmware= free internet as well as unlimited access to cloning any one elses modem info that is also on the same cable ISP in your area and using their modems credentials to access the internet.

Tritonal wrotewhat part ? the main outcome of the first two methods are the same removing the lease on the public IP you have and asking to be leased a new one from your ISP's DHCP server. you dont want to use the same public IP for Your retail as you do your Jtag/RGH so you could either setup two modems and do what i described in the third option or release and renew every time you switch from you modded console to your retail or look into proxy or vpn.vokal wrote plug ethernet from pc to the back of the modem open up command prompt run ipconfig /release and then ipconfig /renew
