I'm connecting my 1366x768 laptop to my HDTV with an HDMI cable and it looks ok when the tv is displaying 1360x768 but when I change it to it's native rez (1080x720) It doesn't look right, almost blurred.
The pixels don't sit right, the colors are different like someone set the contrast to max, and its kind of losing 5 or 6 pixels around the sides.
Can anyone help?
Here's the specs of my stuff if anyone needs it:

The reason the image is being distorted when set to 1920 x 1080 is because your laptop is only outputting a resolution of 1366 x 768. when the image is being upscaled it is getting blurry because the image is being stretched to fit the screen.

I can change the TV's rez separately from the laptop. The TV is just working as a second monitor.

The computer is still outputting the same default resolution and I don't believe there is anything you can do about it but live with the tv at the 1366 x 768 resolution.
(On a side note is the laptop still new? By that I mean can you return it?)

This set up works perfectly fine. The TV looks 1080 just a little stretched.

Yes I'm sure I could still return it. I think bestbuy has a 6 month return period.

If you can live with the little stretching then i would say your fine but if you really cant there is a few thing you can do. but its a little too much for to spam the crap out of this thread with. if you want you can pm me and we can continue trying to fix this problem.
