For streaming the Intel i5 3570k would be the better choice, it is faster even at its core clock and is cooler when OC'd compared to the AMD FX-8350 OC'd. Both when it comes to performance are rather identical, benchmarks with the same GFX Card show results that both CPU's are neck to neck. It all depends if you really want that extra 5-10 fps on top of an already reasonable streaming amount when choosing between the CPUs. Hope I helped with my little piece of input here lol

The 8350 does not perform as well as the 3570K in many games and I'm only aware of a few in which it actually offers an increase in performance. These videos have testing that shows the Intel option offering significantly better performance in games.

Unless they back it up, ignore them because people will always defend their purchase. Personally I have a 3570K, but I planned for a long time to have a Bulldozer CPU in my rig when they were released. Unfortuantely, they disappointed and I went with the better CPU. I want AMD CPUs to trade as many punches as possible with their competition because it's good for the industry.

Also, an overclocked CPU cannot be compared to a CPU that's not overclocked. Stock vs. stock and overclocked vs. overclocked (similarly aggressive) are valid comparisons.

It's not my opinion, it's the facts that matter. The 3570K will perform better than the 8350 in nearly every regard, so that's what I recommend. You'll want a Z77 board and an aftermarket cooler.

The only time the 8350 is going to properly out perform the 3570k (as far as I know) is when you venture into proper multi-tasking, such as rendering out of a 3d program whilst using some sort of game engine with a heavy project loaded and other things open, for you purposes I would go 3570k mate.
