i have an old unused RROD Xbox 360 and would like to know if there is anything i can build out of the hardware components and maybe the case. im not looking to make a fancy Xbox case im looking to do something with the DVD drive or fans etc. thank you for any help, please try and keep the comments mature. i do not want to smash the Xbox up with a hammer etc. please post below, thanks

Not a computer expert at all but maybe if you ever thought about building a computer you could some how incorporate the fans with that, idk like i said im no expert just a thought.

You could put the disk drive on your pc so you have an extra drive. You could use the fans as extra fans for a pc or just as fans in general. As for the case you could paint it/ Cut a cool design on it and sell it as a custom case. Im sure the LED's on the faceplate could also be reused. Maybe you could do something with the heatsink aswell I'm not too sure.

you could replace your old one, but you could not add a new one.

I doubt it sorry. This is because laptops use a special type of minidrive for there builds. Its worth giving it a go but I don't think this is possible. Research it more I'm not so much an expert at laptops. What I do know is that I did put my old PS3's Blu-Ray drive into my gaming PC (not laptop) and it works perfectly.

if you have spare cash send it away to get fixed and try watercooling it, just a idea
