I am not the best of LoL players and my mate suggested for me to buy Caitlyn, do you think she is a good champ?

Yes, she is 1 of the best adc in the game atm, she has highest range in game for auto attacks ( excepet tristanna lvl 16+)
She has a good skill set and very useful uti.
Bonus she has good skins.

Her early game is very strong for an ADC but she does fall off compared to some of the other carries so it can be a bit of a risk at times if you know that your lane is going to be even or a loss. But if you win it can result in your team winning straight out or turning the tables from a loss to a win.
