okay so basically for a while now i've been having these mini-freezes and BLOD's (blue screen of death). sometimes, i'll even get som message when booting up trying to repair my hdd. so yes, i know my hdd is screwed. although what i'm worried about is that i'm wondering if my gpu may be screwed too? the reason for this is because well first of all, sometimes when i try to update the drivers for it, it'll fail and i'll have to try a second time for it to work.(one time it never worked and i had to delete the drivers and reboot windows for it to use the pre-installed windows drivers for me to redownload new drivers). but also, sometimes when i leave my pc alone for long enough, it'll go to sleep as usual. although when i try to click the mouse/keyboard for it to wake up, i can see my desktop start to power on, but the screen won't turn on with it. i did unplug and replug the hdmi from my desktop and it did work after. although i'm still worried because i've got the gtx 680 and don't want to have to spend an other 470$ for a new one. also, those mini-freezes commonly happened during gameplay (although it would happen during normal pc usage too) which leads me to believe that there may also be an issue with the gpu aswell. do any of u have some advice or knowledge? or is there a program that can scan for gpu hardware issues? any info would help, thanks :]

This was happening to me as well but with my graphics card. while playing or just surfing the web i would randomly be black screened and have to restart my computer. The thing i would recommend is to replace your hdd first of all if you know it is messed up. and if it is still having the same error you will have to replace the problem but there aernt any real fixes to these problems other than replacing the part because said part usually has something wrong with the hardware. hope this helped and sorry to hear about it.

It sounds like everything you've described is being caused by the hard drive failing to load files in a timely manner. You need to back up ASAP and get a new drive.
