and it's the same with bottles of drinks.
Next time you pick one up, take a look at the amount of space at the top.
It's silly.
Funny thing is, I just bought one on my way home from work and it was full just below the cap.

Where you from and what drink?
Canada and it was a Pepsi. Maybe that's why, I live in Canada maybe the people who bottle the drinks felt bad they were ripping us off. Lol I kid of course.

I have no idea why it's not the same there.
This is what bottles are like where I live in the UK

......That's really bad.
I'm from USA and we have maybe half an inch off.

@Maya
I know! It's bad enough I can get water from my sink, but having half a bottle on purchase as well?

Why don't they just make packaging smaller.

Ok that looks way different from what they look like here lol the one I have in my hand is also a 1 litre so it's a lot bigger then the normal bottle. Maybe that's why.

I'm sure everyone hates it but they do it for a reason. Even I hate it but I deal with it.
For one, it helps from the chips breaking and becoming crumbs such as when being handled around in like factories and being shipped to places. It also keeps the chips fresh. They're not actually ripping you off but it seems like it is. They're just getting too expensive in some cases.

I understand why it happens, but it's too much.
I just opened my bag (finally). At least 5 inches off the top is gone. That's way too much just to stop crumbs, I could care less.

If they're going to fill less of the bag with product then lower prices.

@Reap
I tried looking for an actual photo, I couldn't haha.
Everything looks so much better in advertisements.

Lays: Air bag witha few assorted chips at the bottom.

I've never seen a bag of chips filled more than halfway, of any size.

It's just a great way for them to make quite a bit of money.
