If you need help getting the Egg to show off at your house all you'll need is:
A torch
A Pick-Axe

So when the Egg is on the Bedrock, hit it once. It should teleport to a spot on the surface in the end. Then dig out the block under the block the egg is on (NOTE: If you delete the block the Egg is on it will fall so don't mess up). When you have the block mined out just put a torch down and delete the block above making the egg fall down. It should do the same thing like sand and gravel do and go straight to your inventory.
