Synopsis:

Gameplay:
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 features many game modes, ranging from Online Tournaments to Career Mode. The game features multiple character creation, online golfing clubs, equipment, and already has course DLCs. In game you start from the tee and work your way to the green where you can putt your heart out. For the first time in a Tiger Wood's game EA has implemented a night time. Playing during the night is always fun and can add to the challenge or make the game seem more relaxing. PGA Tour 14 has two editions regular and Master's Historic Edition (MH). The MH edition of the game gives you access to more equipment for your created characters. MH also features the challenging Legends of Masters, where you play through time as different historic golf masters. If you pick up the MH edition you will get access to "OP" clubs that are better than you would get almost max level in the game. The great diversity in the gameplay and all the awesome courses you have give the gameplay a impressive 9/10.
Career:
The career mode features both the Ladies and Male PGA tours. You begin in an amateur 18 hole tournament, the tournament is quite easy as long as you play some training before hand. The training itself is hard though, considering you play the master himself, Tiger Woods, even though you don't have to beat the training against him, it is a struggle to beat him. There are 99 levels in the game, and each level takes quite some time, you can always buy coins with Microsoft Points and use those coins to buy yourself up some levels. Unless you get MH edition you will start with horrible clubs, and don't get decent ones until about level 60. The gear for your character is very plain and I see no difference from five years ago in the series. No new looks have come into play. Although character creation has come a long way, even allowing you to import the famous gameface that EA features in all its new games. The difficulties in this game are very similair, I see almost no difference between pro and amateur. Overall I'd give the career mode a great 8/10.
Graphics:
The graphics are not much of a step up from last year's PGA Tour, but they are still amazingly beautiful; especially in the new night time golfing. Though the downside is the square rendered edges on characters and clubs. The sunsets always put me in a more relaxing mood. The night time is a good mixture of both light and dark, not making it impossible to see, but also making it realistic. The lighting in general is great, creating realistic shadows not only on the ground but on the players themselves. Outside the courses where dirt and tree lie, are badly rendered, along with the crowd whom seem to love your player. The graphics for this game are a 'meh' 7/10.
Controls:
The controls for Tiger Wood's PGA Tour 14 are somewhat hard to get used to if you're a newcomer to the Tiger Wood's series, though after a few rounds of golf you'll have them down to a science, except for the ever challenging putting. Putting is a work of educated guessing and estimation if you're new to the game. When adding distance or control to your shots you must move your left stick a differently and this can be hard, causing your shots to go way off course. The Xbox 360 thumbsticks seem to be more loose and can cause your shots to not be straight, the game will show you how your shot was performed in the bottom left corner. You can put in a few practice swings to get the aim down, but more than likely your shot will not be dead center. This does however help you improve stability over your thumbsticks in not only PGA Tour but other games as well. The controls are a mild 7/10.

The achievements are fairly hard and time consuming, but you can pull off an easy 200-300 gamerscore within a few hours.
Overall Rating and Conclusion:
8/10
In conclusion I would say if you're looking for a relaxing game for after work, this is an amazing pick up; but if you're impatient or looking for action, look elsewhere. This game also takes some time to learn if you're new to the series, the putting is difficult and the online is challenging, because of the overflow of veterans of the series. Achievement Hunters beware this games achievements are not easy.
