Hi everyone, it's starting to annoy me that when a new member makes some posts and has some pretty valid arguments, the experienced user always comments back on how their posts/rep is very low. I think rep and posts are a good sign of trust/respect but you shouldn't fully judge someone's opinion/facts based on it. What do you guys think about this?

Rant over.

I think that if someone makes good posts and is always a helpful user it shouldn't matter how many posts or how much rep someone has. Rep is just a number and so are posts.

True, just because someone joined not to long ago, doesn't mean he doesn't know anything. And he could probably help others out on this site that has been here since day one.

Well, if you have looked around at people like DSR who have acquired over 1000 posts in a very short time due to spamming then trusting people on post count is not correct.
Try trusting people based on their age, especially the people who are at least a year member. The reason for this is that these people have at least seen some of the crazy times and know a bit more than the ones who spam and put up a faux front.

I think having 10,000 posts does show trust.
If you have 1 post , who knows, you might be "one of those" members who will just decide to spam and post stupid stuff.
Atleast at 10,000 posts you're for sure not going to post like a idiot and break the rules.

I never said that. I said they're a good sign of it. It's your decision weather to trust the information I give or disregard it. I'm just annoyed with people thinking they're "all-that" because they have a higher rep/postcount/rank than the next guy.

I agree with that. If you have 1 post well what do you have to lose? A garbage account that means nothing. If you had like 10,000 posts and decided to post a scam or some virus well you'd be losing that account you put so much work into.

That is 100% true. However I just wish people would lessen the bagging on newer members.
