I am getting a GeForce GTX 560 Ti from a friend for free, all I had to do was pay shipping. How good is this card?

I was told the gtx 550ti was discontinued. So it's hard to fix if it screw's up on you .

$10 for 8gb RAM!!!!! That's mental. A regular 8gb RAM is around 50 so thats a real good deal. As for the card, its not the best but if its for free then its again an amazing deal.

That's like saying Nestle Chocolate is better than Hershey's chocolate, without listing any brand types or anything.

In some ways, an Nvidia card will be better than an AMD card, but it's all about what you're looking for and what kind of budget you have.

Also, OP, your deal was a steal. It won't play the most demanding game in Ultra, but for the price YOU got it for, it's good.
