I have no idea what this guy is talking about. They are almost even, Norton has a more friendly GUI though. I prefer MSE.

By the sounds of it looks like your buying one just download AVG 2013 from a well known torrent site and your computer is fine

Moved to PC Support.
It failed AV-Test's certification and other free options are better.
OP, Norton is excellent and, if you're paying, arguably your best option. If you want a free solution, go with Avast.

Just get Malware Bytes (MBAM) its free and doesn't clog up your pc like Norton

I feel like I was just on a topic very similar to this with r00t, MBAM is NOT an anti virus and should NOT be used as such. MBAM IS a tool that can be used with an anti virus, but in no circumstances should it substitute one.
Bitdefender is another AV that a lot of people like, I'm currently switching from MSE (due to the above reasons) to bitdefender. I'll let you know how it compares.

Sorry for the mistake, I make frequent scans so im in no trouble but if youre looking for an active AV then i like MSE due to it being free and thorough

I have used AVG for years and i have really never got a virus and if i did AVG got rid of it right away, so if i were you i would get AVG
