I got a RGH 2.0 slim do i need to install a 12v fan or Will it be okay?

Depends Freestlye Dash 3 enables You to make it 12v without It having to be a 12v fan mod installment So i would say No But Its up to you(:

It also depend on wich kind of motherboard you own,If its a Xenon I would recommend it.

Anyway, as for the question you should probably be ok and as nbkmerk correctly said, You can adjust the speed (power) of your stock fans so there is no real need for 12v fans. Especially as the slim fans are a lot better than the regular xbox fans. Keep in mind that if you do get 12v fans, you can no longer change them within fsd 3 and they will always be very loud. (Thats how mine are)
