I downloaded something that contained a virus, i was told it was a false positive, but its really not. Its a trojan.backdoor. My pc isnt connected to the internet, im running a full malwarebytes scan now, and i plan to reinstall windows as well as delete everything on my hard drives. What else can I do?

Bit overkill, you could just do a system restore.

If Maylwarebytes doesn't find anything, do a system restore.
If you have no system restore point, reformatting and re-installing your OS is probably the most overkill way of getting rid of it for sure, but also the easiest and most sure-fire way. Hopefully it doesn't have to come to that, but if it does, reformat and forget it even happened.
