I only play SWAT and use the BR. I find that the DMR is far more overpowered in SWAT considering the far superior range and accuracy of it. On Complex it's really noticeable when practically every player that camps on top of the building with the DMR finishes top.

The BR and DMR are pretty even matched on short to medium range firefights. I mainly use the BR on those kind of maps. The only thing DMR really has over BR is the long range accuracy. Other than that they are both pretty fair. 5 Shot HS each.

Except the DMR has a faster kill rate so even if you do battle someone and start shooting at the same time the DMR will get you faster.. Not all the bullets from the BR connect all the time so sometimes that will throw you off. Since the DMR is hit scan you don't have to worry about that happening.

wow i never actually thought about that but after playing a few games i can see that that is so true. And here i was using the new BR because they brought it back... well time to put it down and pick up the old reach DMR again >

Well then you play totally different players than me, because I only encounter full teams that use the BR and they just spray and pray and win without effort.

I utterly hate the BR because of it's overpowering strength in SWAT.

Halo 3 BR for sure. With host it's am awesome gun.
