Now First, What Is A RAT Virus?
Ok A RAT Virus AKA Remote.Access.Troll Is A .exe File that is ajust a raw .exe file or its binded to another program! It gives the hacker full access to your system, webcam, passwords, accounts, emails etc. Also it keylogs you, but i dont wanna get into that!

Now How Do I Check If I Have A RAT Virus?
Ok So Theirs 2 popular ways Of checking for A rat.
1. Open up cmd, by clicking on your start button and simply typing "cmd" or going to run and then typing "cmd" Now, Once CMD is open, you're going to want to type "cd %appdata%" Once you type that and press enter it'll change where cmd is searching! Now Type This code, "dir /a-d /b" once you type that if something pops up that says your user's name and .dat then your in trouble example "JohnSmith.dat" so if theirs a file like that then you have a rat :C

2. Download MalwareBytes by googling "Malwarebytes" and MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD IT FROM THEIR WEBSITE, OR IT COULD BE RATTED. Then just do a full search of your system

I hope this helped out and please get this sticky because im sure it'll help people!
and just google or youtube "How to Remove a RAT Virus" or just Do a full system restore! I hope this helped and bye!

I like this post a lot. I used to have a RAT on one of my computers, and it pissed me off severely. The hacker got access to my runescape account and took everything. So RAT's suck. Thanks for the turtorial, and nice job!

1. It's Remote Administration Tool.

2. You can just use Malwarebytes instead of going into command prompt and do a scan if you think you've been ratted.

3. I'm pretty sure there are some RATs that don't leave traces behind in your AppData, so this may not even work.

A quick Google search reveals that apparently that belongs to a Symantec/Norton driver.

Wouldn't hurt to scan, though.
