Recently, before getting my JTAG I did a lot of research into if they are legal or not, and on here there is lots of conflicting info.

Owning JTAG = Not illegal
Selling JTAG = Not illegal
Making JTAG = Not illegal
10th Lobbies = Not illegal
Downloading an iso to your HDD when you don't own the game = Illegal
Flashing your drive = Not illegal
Playing games which are backups = Not illegal
Playing downloaded games = Illegal
Selling/Making flashed DVD drives (that was what the kid got 10 years for) = Illegal

A JTAG isn't illegal. It is against the XBOX Live ToS, fine. Microsoft will ban you. And ban you again and again and again, but it isn't illegal. All JTAGing does is piss off M$. It won't get you arrested. Playing downloaded games which you don't own is completely illegal.

Use your common sense for a while. Who does JTAGging harm. Nobody. Nobody loses anything.

If you download illegal games, you are hurting the game developers, who work hard to make the games. Microsoft don't get there share, which is hurting their profits, stopping new XBOXs being made (720 rumors died down).

JTAGging is fine. Piracy is not

Don't do it.
