I personally have a 2TB Caviar Black, but this is a great hard-drive as well.
4 Star rating with over 1200 reviews.

Both Seagate and Western Digital are very good.

I have had a bad experience with WD though. I had a laptop hard drive that failed after a few months (clicking) and they wouldn't replace it - something to do with the fact that it had been shaken or dropped which is stupid because my laptop doesn't often go anywhere; simply because it's too bloody big and bulky.

But that doesn't mean they're bad; I could have had the same experience with Seagate.

Other companies worth looking at:

Toshiba
Hitachi
