Don't worry he doesn't cut himself in any way. That's the way I used to play it but like I said knife song seems a little on the slow side. Five finger fillet you keep going until you mess up by either scrapping the surface your using or by actually hitting yourself.

WTH, not in a million years would I be able to do that, I would go 3 spaces then I would cut my self.
