So I'm looking to buy my first proper "gaming" headset.
Now all I know is that I'm looking for a surround sound headset, it can be either wireless or wired, I'm not too bothered
I'm also looking for the following things...
Comfortableness
Value for money
Performance
Lasts a long time
I'm not very good with all this type of stuff and I know there are a lot of people on here who know a lot more about headsets than I do.
So if anyone could help me, it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, in advance.

In my view, turtle beaches are always breaking. Try Triton's!

I was looking at both Trittons and TBs but what model of Trittons do you suggest?

I personally like the Turtle Beaches X12 mainly because they're compatible with both Xbox and PC which I use for both. They're wired and can purchased either online or at a retail store for about $60.00. I would suggest this headset as it's currently the one I use and has been working perfectly fine since when I bought it which was about 6 months ago.

Thank you for your advice! I was originally looking to buy a surround sound headset but these x12's seem to be a pretty decent buy for a great price!

People that say TB sets break are the people who don't know how to take care of nice things. If you value your , albeit small, investment then they should last you for a least a year. I've had X12s since December 2011 and everything still works (except for the chat cable because my dog got to it :/ ).
BUT, don't go out right now and buy X12s because if TB's release schedule is any indication, the X13s or whatever they will be called should come out within the next 3 - 4 months. They will be the same price as X12s (hopefully) but will have added features and other amenities.
