Hey, so if you can help me answer my question, you will receive +REP if you can provide an answer to my question: If a chemical is given to a cell that makes membranes semi-permeable to H+ ions, what affect would this chemical have on chemiosmosis and ATP production. I know that this would slow down the rate of ATP production, but my question is would this speed up or slow down the rate of chemiosmosis since the H+ ions will now be able to penetrate through the membrane. Thanks in advance!
