Just bought a new gaming computer about 3 - 4 days ago and i thought the computer was acting a little strange in games and such, frames drops like crazy so i checked the task manager and my CPU usage was at 7 - 10% and i don't even have any game or anything like that running only Steam, skype etc..
Now the weird part... checked the Task manager tab "Performance" and it said: Total RAM: 16329MB
Cache stored: 11528
available: 11528
space left: 3 - 20.
Can anyone help me with this? is there a fix? I really don't get why this is happening since it's a brand new computer with everything BRAND new. haven't downloaded any weird crap only Steam and stuff like that.
Anyways i hope i'll get a answer.
Specs:
i7 3770k OC'd @ 4.2GHz
Corsair 16GB (2x8192MB) CL10 1600Mhz VENGEANCE LP
ASUS GeForce GTX 680 2048MB DirectCUII TOP
Corsair SSD Force GS Series 128GB
3TB Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm SATA 6Gbit/s
ASUS P8Z77-V PRO Motherboard.
Corsair HX 850W 80+
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

Have you installed the right type of ram? Remoe the ram and put it back in and see if that helps if not take alook at your start up applications and processes running in the background close anything you don't need
