I'm no sound fanatic but I've got turtle beach x12s or 31s, cant remember but they're fine, and from what i remember not that expensive. I've owned them for about a year & not had 1 problem

I hear ya. I never had a problem with the turtle beaches I owned. Pretty solid headsets. I hear trittons are pretty good as well.
How do the ones I posted look?
They look pretty legit although i've never heard of the brand before.

Get those or Astros AX720.
If you don't wanna spend a lot, get Turtle beaches x12, they're like 79.99 and great sound quality.

How about you post a price range instead...? If you don't want to spend much then how much do you have?
The Turtle Beach XP500/XP510's will blow away anything, including Astro A40's or A50's.
You can literally filter out every sound except footsteps.
