So the interent has been growing rapidly within the last 10 years and I was wonder if anyone thinks that there will ever be a time when fiber optics is available anywhere and everywhere.
Currently fiber optics is secluded to major cities and people that live far out of town have to have suckish internet.
So my question is: Will Fiber Optics ever be available to all regions?

Probably, over time I think it will be everywhere. I can't get it as I live in a village but Virgin have even talked about putting some fibre optic cables near my house it I hope I get it soon.

It will be, soon it will replace normal high speed internet, now a days normal high speed internet is like Dial up. They also need to raise the data limit, on AT&T it's only a 100GB per month which is really easy to go over if you watch netflix quite frequently, Comcast has 250GB which is a lot better but they need like 500GB or unlimited.

I currently have fiber optic in my neighborhood and there is people from my school who wont have it installed until December.
Hopefully it will be around the world soon.
But I am more interested in Google Fiber, 100 times faster than the average american connection.
Its a shame I dont live in USA

I actually have fiber optics, and I live 30 miles from any city lol. But where I live they put fiber optics down, so they could charge outrage prices for internet, seeing how they are the only high speed internet aloud where I live lol.

I have BT fibre service and its not bad, but I want Virgin to lay their fibre in my area so I can get up to 100MB/s instead of 30MB/s.
But as McNuggets said, I'm more interested in Google Fibre. Hopefully one day they will bring it over to the UK.
