I am planning on buying one of the two. I will be using it to just browse the web, school work, and maybe a couple of games. Which one would better suit me?

I used to have a Macbook Pro and I found it to be pretty good, until it broke.

Neither wasn't an option. I am a Mac guy and like them.

Because macbook airs are smaller this gives them slightly lower quality specifications than the macbook pro, unless you travel often or will be carrying your laptop around often i suggest you get a macbook pro, they are more powerful and are still very portable.

Probably a 13 inch one. It's a good size.

It's 2013 and the current (non-Retina) Pros are on the way out. The Air is the better buy for you because it will be faster in day-to-day tasks because it has an SSD. The screen of the 13" Air is also higher-resolution than that of the 13" Pro.

I strongly suggest you go try the Air in person. It's fantastic and people will try to sell you on the better CPU performance of the Pro, but the SSD will be much more beneficial. If you've got the cash, you might look at the 13" Retina Macbook Pro as well.

This is a pretty decent review of the two.

I'd also like to add that yes, you can buy way better machines for the price range. However, people who say, 'mac's suck' are people who have never had the joy of properly experiencing OS X. Everything works nicely and how it should and it is a fantastic operating system. Once you go mac; you will never go back.
