My first car wasn't a car, i got a 2003 ford ranger (truck) I would have to agree with everyone else though and get an older vehicle, not too old though because vehicles that are within about 10-12 years can be around 5k. My truck was 4.5k and it was the best decision i've made. My only recommendation would be that if you are paying for the gas in the vehicle, get something that gets pretty good mileage so you don't lose all of your money. If you get something too old, then you may never know how reliable it would be, but I would just say try and get a vehicle that appeals to you in performance, gas mileage, and appearance and you can look for vehicles around 10 years old and get a pretty good one

You got to get something your going to have fun with. And what girl would want to drive around in a crappy honda spivic. Even if you have the opportunity to save some more money.
