There now my Xbox went 3 RROD Flashing in the middle of a game and it turned the T.V off as well. Everything is Ok now but what cause this to happen so I can prevent this from happening again.

power cut? Your tv shouldn't be able to be turned off by your xbox

This has happened to me before, and it has been for a few reasons. My xbox sits on my desk and the power cord goes underneath into the outlet on the wall. My foot pulled that out of the wall and shorted out my xbox and t.v. I am sure that's not what happened, but something around that sort of power idea may have happened. Also, that has happened to me when my xbox overheated and that somehow shut off my t.v. as well.

It actually did, The T.V was put on standby while the Xbox was flashing.

Thats's my console awhile ago.I still use it to this day so it doesnt mean there is something wrong with your console. I think it has something to do with the power like the other people are saying.
