Also...I hate this hobby. The tonality of the midrange of these $20 Yamaha HP3s that I bought is better than my freaking K702's. I just bought an ESW9 from a HF member for $65, which I'm excited for. I can't wait to compare the two, since after mods, they're similar from what I remember the ESW9s to sound like. I'd love if the HP3 sounded better...they're more durable.

The only solution? Buy all the headphones.

And I kind of feel the same way due to the fact that my most-used headphone is my Koss Porta-75 (Portapro drivers with KSC75 clips) and that I use my $60 speaker setup more than any headphone.

They're not the bassiest, but have replaceable cables.

$30 won't get you much, but the Monoprice 8323 is the least offensive one I can think of.

Also, I got the ESW9 yesterday. They're about as fragile as Beats. They sound decent though.
