Ignotus wroteXKSR95 wrote It would be almost impossible for Ghost to still be alive, he was shot in the head, then burnt. Also on the CoD Wiki page for Ghost's trivia, it mentions "Ghost is shot once by Shepherd. When he is thrown in the pit beside Roach, he has two additional gunshot wounds in his chest." but also, it states that "In an interview with IGN, Robert Bowling was asked if there is a possibility that Ghost is still alive and he stated, "Ghost... isn't exactly dead... but you'll see what I mean soon."" I think this just meant that he is the announcer for Task Force 141 in MW2's Multiplayer and Spec Ops mode but I could be wrong. I think that CoD: Ghosts will be more about stealth gameplay in the campaign, instead of the usual Run 'n Gun we are used to seeing, kind of like the mission in CoD 4 where you play as Price and you have to assassinate Zakhaev.
If you carefully listen to Ghost during the Favela torture scene when he is preparing the booster cables, he says "Why do we have to wear these fireproof vests anyways?" It is mumbled and quiet, but he does say it. And at the end, when both Roach and Ghost get shot by Shepard, Shepard does not shoot Ghost in the head, he shoots him in the shoulder. And his lack of movement is likely by shock of the event of not knowing what was going on, he was...in a sense, stunned. With this analysis, and theory...there is proof Ghost can necessarily be alive, and return in the upcoming game, "Call of Duty: Ghosts".
Just played the level so I can confirm it and he doesn't say anything. Looked it up online as well as still he doesn't say anything
skip to 2:05 for the scene

There's too much evidence that could make him seem alive.. He's probably alive, and he will probably make an appearance in CoD: Ghosts. I hope CoD: Ghosts is a prequel to MW2.. So it's not futuristic or anything.. Because if it is a prequel to MW2, then we already know the tech that will in the game, or at least Infinity Ward won't have to make up a bunch of malarkey like Shock Charges, Target Finders, etc. Also the time would be based around CoD4's time.. my favorite CoD
