When i try and open my minecraft its says Error: Unable to access jarfile

It may be as simple as right clicking and choosing run as administrator.

Does it open to the launch screen, or not at all?

Try updating your Java, if that doesnt work go to your ".minecraft" folder and delete it.
(make sure you copy any worlds and Texture packs)

then re-download Minecraft.

I have the latest update on java and i tried %appdata% and there are no files for minecraft.

nex tto where it says login, click options and force update, then click login, should work

It doesn't even open to the login page it just says an error.
