I bought my PC locally, someone had bought it and put some of their own parts in and used it for about 3 months before selling it to me, for some reason unknown to me I can run Fifa 13 Fine but when it comes to games like Dead Island Riptide and Bioshock Infinate the games just crash, also I cannot render Video using Sony Vegas 12 without my pc restarting, i think this is due to overheating but it has 3-4 fans installed, please helps me fix these problems, here are the specs

Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3 Motherboard
AMD FX(tm)-8120 Eight Core Processor
EVGA GeForce GTX 650 Graphics Card
8GB Ballistix Sport Ram
1x200gb Hard drive
1x2TB Hard Drive
500w Power Supply
Windows 7 Ultimate
Tenda Wireless + PCI Adaptor
EVGA Gaming Case

Thanks for any help you can provide

update the processor (i5 or i7)

update the graphics card (660+ if you want to play on high)

add atleast 4 gig more RAM

Get a bigger power supply

Make sure the fans are all working

Make sure your drivers are updated

(this is if you want to play games on ultra/high and render quick as a flash)

The first three things are not going to solve his problem. A quality 500w unit is also more than enough to power this PC.

OP, what model power supply do you have? Are you monitoring your temps? Are your drivers all up to date?

So you're suggesting not an update but a switch from AMD to Intel which isn't what he wanted or he'd of bought Intel in the first place.
